Position: Assistant Quality Assurance Specialist (Contract)
People Group is recruiting for Graduate and Assistant Construction Assurance Specialists to support a leading rail consultancy. They have won work on CP7 ASPRO frameworks in the Eastern regions. ASPRO requires construction assurance support to fulfil the requirements under /L2/CIV/095 Asset Protection and Optimisation Management of Third-Party Works on Network Rail Infrastructure, /L2/CIV/096 Asset Protection and Optimisation Management of Outside Party Works, /L2/RSE/CONM/001 Construction Management for Projects.

We have multiple roles available across Derby, London (Kings Cross and Stratford), Newcastle, Peterborough, and York.

Rate: £265 Inside IR35
Duration: 12 months

ASAP
Working Arrangements: 3 Day/Night/Weekend shifts based on-site/office

Responsibilities:

* Assist in monitoring construction activities for compliance.

* Support constructability reviews and audits.

* Help validate design risk assessments and interdisciplinary checks.

* Involved with managing NRSWA Projects.

* Review and approve Construction Phase Plans, Work Package Plans, and site-specific risk assessments.

* Collate and submit documentation for review and acceptance.

* Support tracking and reporting of discrepancies between planned and actual work.

* Support AMP/EIS process for asset data exchange and maintenance.

* Help identify and report quality or performance issues.

* Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing.

* Support close out of non-conformances.

* Liaise with site teams and outside/third parties to support collaboration

* Attend planning meetings.

* Maintain site diaries and contribute to assurance reports.

* Provide administrative and functional support to the Asset Protection Team.

* Assist in reporting engineering issues.

* Input into Construction Assurance Risk Management.

To be successful in this position, we’re looking for someone who has:

* Understanding of Network Rail standards and assurance principles.

* Proven exposure to construction or engineering environments.

* Ability to interpret technical documentation.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* Awareness of H&S legislation and procedures
