We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician to join a growing engineering team. This role covers the full lifecycle of installation and commissioning, ensuring all solutions meet technical, safety, and quality standards.

You will work independently and as part of a wider project team, supporting the delivery of site-based control systems for key clients.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and support site-based control systems and equipment

Carry out site surveys prior to installation and commissioning activities

Support commissioning documentation and project handover within agreed timescales and quality standards

Work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and client asset operations teams to ensure full system integration

Work in line with approved designs, equipment specifications, and configuration templates

Ensure strict adherence to site safety standards during all installation and commissioning activities

Comply with quality standards, industry best practices, and customer requirements

Maintain strong customer communication, providing regular updates to clients and project managers

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in installation and commissioning roles

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Understanding of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and HMI systems

Experience configuring and testing manufacturer equipment

Ability to work with remote configuration and commissioning engineers

CSCS or ECS card
