Position: Student Support Officer and SSI (CCF)

About the Role:

This is a combined role for a motivated individual who will support students day to day with behaviour management and support the school in the capacity of SSI to co ordinate our CCF unit. The successful candidate will preferably have experience in the armed services as either a regular or reserve. Although applications are also welcome from applicants with experience as a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer.

As the Student Support Officer/SSI you will:

  • Provide support and guidance to students struggling to manage their behaviour.
  • Mentor individual students and work across the school to minimise low-level disruption.
  • Support staff and students with behaviour management strategies.
  • Play a key role in the running of our RAISE rooms and “On Call” provision.
  • Support the Contingent Commander in running the CCF.
  • Complete all administration and record keeping for the CCF.
  • Organise and deliver appropriate military training in conjunction with the Contingent Commander and Section officers.

Qualifications
  • You will have a good general education and experience working with young people aged 11-18.
  • You will be calm under pressure, organised, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • You are committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young people.
  • You will have experience in the armed services as either a regular or reserve, or experience as a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer.
