Art Teacher

We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Peterborough. This is a full-time role starting ASAP and running until July 2026, ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a long-term position in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for art.

Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if required)

* Develop students’ creative skills using a range of media and techniques

* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

* Work collaboratively with the department and wider school staff

* Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school

* Strong subject knowledge and passion for creative education

* Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students

* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
