About this role

Required for a September 2026 start, we are seeking a well‑qualified and highly motivated Teacher of Science to join our Science Department. The successful candidate will deliver high quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to offer A‑level teaching considered advantageous but not essential. Applicants may be experienced teachers or early‑career teachers; a full induction under the Early Career Framework will be provided for ECTs.

Science is a key subject in the Academy. The school has invested heavily in facilities, including a new £6 million wing opened September 2018 and a £20.6 million state‑of‑the‑art building completed in 2012. The department consistently achieves strong results at GCSE and A‑Level and is committed to continuous improvement and inclusion.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess science lessons for KS3 and KS4.
  • Use data and systems to track student progress and inform instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the department to raise achievement.

  • Well‑qualified Teacher of Science with outstanding subject knowledge.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Confidence in using learning management systems and data tracking tools.
  • Strong communication skills and team working ethos.
