Our client urgently requires a temporary Customer Service Administrator to work for a local company based in Peterborough.

Hours are Monday pm and Tuesday to Friday pm.

Key responsibilities of a Customer Service Administrator
  • Chasing orders due to parcel delays, answering calls and customer service/administration work.
  • Must have customer service experience is essential for this role.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and live chat enquiries with professionalism and clarity.
  • Update customer records and case notes in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Zendesk).
  • Process orders, returns, and refunds accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate between sales, logistics, and support teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Log and elevate customer complaints, tracking follow‑up through to resolution.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers, and service logs.
  • Schedule appointments, manage shared inboxes, and coordinate diaries.
  • Support wider admin functions such as document preparation and data entry.
  • Provide a friendly and efficient customer experience, both front‑line and back‑office.
Essential skills and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑first mindset.
  • Confident using systems like Excel, Outlook, and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Experience managing emails, diaries, and customer follow‑ups.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem solving.
  • A team player who collaborates well across departments.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Hub Spot, or Zendesk.
  • Experience in office support, retail, call centres, or admin roles.
  • Knowledge of order processing, stock systems, or customer databases.
  • Understanding of GDPR and good data handling practices.
