An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning infrastructure contractor on a £300m project in Peterborough. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in a multi-million pound investment designed to modernise the regional energy network and future‑prove the UK’s path to Net Zero. • Act as the commercial lead on the project and manage a site‑based commercial team throughout the full project life cycle.
• Design and implement robust commercial strategies to maximise margin.
• Agree terms with sub‑contracts (NEC4) whilst ensuring risk is apportioned and best value delivered to the client.
• Challenge cost value reports and forecasts, maintaining a detailed “bottom‑up” outlook.
• Oversee the change management process.
• Provide regular project updates to the commercial leadership team.
• Mentor junior surveyors, offering advice and guidance where required.

• Ideally chartered or working towards chartered status.
• In‑depth knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts.
• Ability to make confident and informed decisions whilst under pressure.
• Excellent written communication skills and confidence when working as part of a large, diverse project team.

• Starting salary of £72,000 to £85,000.
