Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home

Peterborough | £37,100 per annum | Full-time, Permanent

At Florinee Homes Ltd, leadership is not just about managing a service - it is about being present, consistent, and emotionally available for children who need stability most.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership of our childrens residential home in Peterborough. This is a pivotal role for a professional who understands the weight of responsibility - and the privilege - that comes with caring for children who have experienced trauma.

This position forms part of our succession planning and offers a genuine opportunity to grow into senior leadership while being fully supported.

The Purpose of the Role

The Deputy Manager plays a key part in ensuring each child experiences safety, understanding, and therapeutic care every day.

You will support the Registered Manager in leading the home with clarity and consistency, setting expectations for practice, behaviour, and professionalism. When the Registered Manager is absent, you will step confidently into the role - ensuring continuity, reassurance for staff and children, and full regulatory compliance.

Your leadership will be visible, calm, and values-led, shaping a culture where children can begin to rebuild trust and develop emotionally.

About You
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Childrens Residential Care (Level 5 desirable or working towards)
  • Experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Confident working with professionals and families
  • Calm, reflective, and resilient under pressure
  • Committed to ongoing personal and professional development
What We Offer
  • £37,100 per annum
  • Permanent role with real progression and succession opportunities
  • Generous annual leave and comprehensive training
  • A values-led, supportive leadership culture
  • Performance-related bonus linked to successful Ofsted inspections
  • Monthly contribution voucher usable at multiple retailers
  • Access to internal and external emotional and professional support networks
Why Join Florinee Homes?

Because leadership in residential care should never be about simply getting through the shift.

It Is About
  • Showing up when children are struggling
  • Supporting staff through challenging days
  • Holding standards without losing compassion
  • And knowing that your leadership genuinely changes lives

If you are ready to lead with purpose - and be part of a home where care, trauma-informed practice, and strong leadership truly matter - we would welcome your application.
