We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership of our childrens residential home in Peterborough. This is a pivotal role for a professional who understands the weight of responsibility - and the privilege - that comes with caring for children who have experienced trauma.
This position forms part of our succession planning and offers a genuine opportunity to grow into senior leadership while being fully supported.
The Purpose of the RoleThe Deputy Manager plays a key part in ensuring each child experiences safety, understanding, and therapeutic care every day.
You will support the Registered Manager in leading the home with clarity and consistency, setting expectations for practice, behaviour, and professionalism. When the Registered Manager is absent, you will step confidently into the role - ensuring continuity, reassurance for staff and children, and full regulatory compliance.
Your leadership will be visible, calm, and values-led, shaping a culture where children can begin to rebuild trust and develop emotionally.
About You- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Childrens Residential Care (Level 5 desirable or working towards)
- Experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Confident working with professionals and families
- Calm, reflective, and resilient under pressure
- Committed to ongoing personal and professional development
- £37,100 per annum
