Credit Control Administrative Assistant – Part time

Compensation: £26,000 - £28,000 / year

Description

The company has c.50 properties across the UK offering office, workshops and self storage. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the credit control team. This is a part time role of 20 - 24 hours a week over 3 or 4 days. You will be based in our Peterborough office. Salary will be pro-rated accordingly based on a 37.5 hour FTE.

Key Responsibilities

General Admin

  • Provide cover for answer credit control calls.
  • Taking credit card payments
  • Support chasing DD failures beginning of each month where needed.
  • Credit Control inbox. Answering emails which can range from a general inquiry to more in depth investigation.
  • Companies house rejections – to review and respond where required.
  • Managing administrative tasks before cases reach court, ie late Letter, LBA’s, helping to prepare relevant paperwork.
  • Updating account notes & status
  • Handling incoming legal correspondence.
  • Chasing local courts for updates
  • Working with Credit Manager to submit legal paperwork

Miscellaneous

  • Undertake any other reasonable duty from time to time as requested
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Customer focused - A proactive nature is an absolute must for this role. You need to be able to identify your workload and keep on top of it taking personal responsibility for ensuring actions are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Collaborative - Highly organised and have a keen eye for detail to spot issues. You will be tenacious in your chasing of accurate information and demanding in setting challenging timescales for the completion of outstanding actions with colleagues.
  • Communication skills - Professional telephone manner and ability to converse with a diverse range of people through a variety of mediums – verbal and written. Excellent MS Office skills and CRM knowledge.
  • Admin experience preferable - any pre-legal chasing experience would be an advantage.
