An ambitious and forward-moving accounting practice is actively seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to play a vital role within their expanding operation. This opportunity involves overseeing audit assignments, guiding junior colleagues, and regularly liaising with a wide range of clients. The role delivers a mix of auditing and general accountancy tasks.
Key Responsibilities in the Audit & Accounts Senior Position:
Organising, executing, and completing audits for clients across multiple sectors. Leading audit engagements, managing timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Developing audit approaches tailored to the specific financial and business structures of individual clients. Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members and trainees. Offering clear feedback and mentorship to support staff development. Maintaining up-to-date compliance with current audit legislation while producing excellent results.
Acting as the principal contact for clients throughout the audit process. Cultivating strong client rapport and ensuring clear communication during engagements. Responding to client queries and providing insights on intricate financial matters. Identifying significant commercial and financial risks during reviews. Candidate Profile:
We are looking for professionals who have recently gained or are nearing completion of their ACA or ACCA qualification, with a minimum of two years’ practical audit experience. Experience in supervising audit processes is highly preferred. A sound understanding of accounting and audit practices, along with the ability to build and maintain client relationships, is crucial for success in this role.
