A Registered Nurse with pediatric expertise is needed for a contract position in a rural community setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating pediatric patient interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to create and update individualized care plans.
- Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and progress, ensuring timely communication of changes.
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventative healthcare practices.
- Provide emotional support and advocate for the rights and needs of pediatric patients.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
- Valid RN licensure with pediatric nursing experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable providing care in a rural environment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Must have reliable transportation and be prepared for winter driving conditions.
