Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide and coordinate high-quality nursing care in an outpatient pediatric setting. This role functions independently within the scope of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and organizational policies.
The Office Nurse uses the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while also guiding and supporting clinical staff such as LPNs and Medical Assistants in delegated patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions
- Ensure safe, compassionate, and effective care for pediatric patients
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Provide emotional support and advocate for patient rights and quality care
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe and ethical care environment
- Participate in ongoing learning to stay current with best practices and clinical standards
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
- Active RN or LPN license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Compact license accepted
- License must be active at time of submission
- Minimum nursing experience required (new graduates not accepted at this time)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative care team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- BLS (AHA)
