Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN or LPN) job description. The Pediatrics Office Nurse, either a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), provides and organizes care for patients. They work independently, following rules of nursing, medical guidance, and hospital guidelines. The Office Nurse uses the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. They also teach and supervise other support staff, like LPNs and Medical Assistants, to help carry out patient care plans.
Responsibilities- Patient Care:
Provide direct care to patients by assessing needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. - Teamwork:
Work with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare workers to create and follow personalized care plans for each patient. - Documentation:
Keep clear and accurate records of patients’ health, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns to the right team members. - Medication Administration:
Give medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital rules and procedures. - Patient
Education:
Teach patients and their families about managing health, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote wellness. - Support and Advocacy:
Provide emotional support and advocate for patients rights, ensuring respectful and compassionate care. - Policy Compliance:
Follow hospital rules and regulations to ensure a safe and ethical work environment. - Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about new medical practices, advancements, and standards through professional development. - Other Duties:
Carry out other tasks as assigned, while keeping all patient information confidential.
- We are looking for nurses who have some experience. Unfortunately, we cannot accept new graduates at this time since we cannot train a brand-new nurse.
- You need a valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association)
- Must have a New Hampshire license or a Compact license that is active when applying.
