  • On our 8‑bed LDRP unit we deliver over 350 babies annually.
  • The candidate will be cross‑trained in all aspects of obstetrical care within The Birthing Suite.
  • You will work alongside a well‑established OB/GYN and pediatric group in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current NH RN licensure.
  • Previous OB nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Baccalaureate in nursing strongly preferred.
  • Certification in specialty strongly preferred.
  • NRP and STABLE certifications required.

This is a per diem position in The Birthing Suite at Monadnock Community Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols.

    Education:

    Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
  • Support and Advocacy: Offer emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care.
  • Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements
  • Maintenance of confidential information.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
