Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Day: 8
Compensation: Up to $22/hour (maximum for highly experienced candidates)
Work Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Practice
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical and administrative support under the direct supervision of a Physician or Office Nurse. This role supports patient care delivery in a professional outpatient medical setting and requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
The individual in this role must demonstrate professionalism in appearance and conduct, maintain patient confidentiality at all times, and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, laboratory tests, and other procedures within the scope of certification or licensure
- Assist physicians during patient examinations, including obtaining and documenting vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Assist patients with mobility to and from examination rooms as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of exam rooms and clinical areas
- Answer and return patient phone calls as directed by the physician
- Provide patient instructions as directed by the physician
- Assist with medical record documentation, including referrals, lab slips, and other clinical documentation
- Requisition and maintain adequate medical supplies
- Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the physician
- Support clinical operations in other areas as assigned by management or clinical leadership
- Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in a dynamic clinical environment
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information
- Exhibit emotional stability and professionalism when handling sensitive or stressful situations
- Demonstrate a caring, patient-centered approach to care delivery

- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program (minimum 2 years) – Required
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting – Required
- Current Medical Assistant Certification – Required
- BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
- Licensed Practical Nurses are also eligible to apply
