Student Veterinary Nurse

Here at Sampson Park, we are looking for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team! This is a full-time role however, part-time hours will be considered. The role will involve:

• Holding animals for examination and procedures
• Caring for animals in kennels including feeding, grooming and giving medications appropriate to training level
• Helping to take and process blood and other lab samples
• Assisting with preparing animals for surgery and monitoring anaesthetics, appropriate to training level
• Cleaning and sterilising instruments
• Cleaning clinical areas
• Spending some time on reception

• Monday 8:00am-6:00pm
• Tuesday 11:00am-7:30pm (late shift but with RVN back up on site)
• Wednesday 11am-7:30pm (late shift with RVN back up)
• Thursday- OFF
• Friday 8:00am-6:00pm
• 1/6 Saturday 8:30am-5pm as part of rota (with RVN back up)

We are a friendly and supportive first-opinion, small animal practice located in abeautiful market town with easy access to large cities and links to Northampton and Cambridge. This is an ideal area for outdoor enthusiasts due to our rural location, River Nene access and local sports clubs. Londonis accessible within an hour on the train.
