As part of the Product Development team this role supports the development of new products for launch into the Canadian market.

• Perform bench‑top preparation and testing of new or existing products
• Assist in the development of new products for launch into the Canadian marketplace
• Assist in the scale‑up and start‑up of new products/sizes on existing equipment
• Develop, route and approve specifications
• Work with vendors, purchasing and headquarters to qualify new ingredients
• Participate in quality, product improvement and productivity initiatives
• Manage analytical testing and data collection for ingredient and nutritional information

• 3rd or 4th year student in a Diploma or Degree program in Food Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent follow‑up and organizational skills; ability to work under deadlines and multi‑task
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
• Ability to work cross‑functionally within Pepsi Co and with external vendors
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of projects, data and other matters relating to Pepsi Co business
• Good record‑keeping skills for ingredient and nutrition labelling
• Familiarity with regulatory affairs guidelines (Food and Drugs Act, Guide to Food Labelling including mandatory nutrition labelling regulations) is a definite asset
