Compensation: $25–28 per hour

As part of the Product Development team this role supports the development of new products for launch into the Canadian market.
Responsibilities- Perform bench‑top preparation and testing of new or existing products
- Assist in the development of new products for launch into the Canadian marketplace
- Assist in the scale‑up and start‑up of new products/sizes on existing equipment
- Develop, route and approve specifications
- Work with vendors, purchasing and headquarters to qualify new ingredients
- Participate in quality, product improvement and productivity initiatives
- Manage analytical testing and data collection for ingredient and nutritional information
- 3rd or 4th year student in a Diploma or Degree program in Food Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent follow‑up and organizational skills; ability to work under deadlines and multi‑task
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
- Ability to work cross‑functionally within Pepsi Co and with external vendors
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of projects, data and other matters relating to Pepsi Co business
- Good record‑keeping skills for ingredient and nutrition labelling
- Familiarity with regulatory affairs guidelines (Food and Drugs Act, Guide to Food Labelling including mandatory nutrition labelling regulations) is a definite asset
