Pharmacist role at Peterborough Regional Health Centre
Hiring for a full-time position. Base pay range: CA $48.21/hr - CA $64.50/hr.
Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is a regional hospital delivering acute healthcare to a rapidly growing population of more than 300,000 in Peterborough and surrounding communities, including the First Nations of Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Alderville. With an annual budget of nearly $390 million, PRHC has nearly 500 inpatient beds and offers a wide range of services, including specialized programs in renal, stroke, cardiac, cancer care, vascular surgery and mental health & addictions.
HOURSOF WORK:
Straight midnight shifts, rotating shifts Mon-Sun as per the collective agreement. Hours are approximate and subject to change with operational needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:The Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to inpatients and pharmacy services to selected outpatients. The Pharmacist participates in medication dispensing and acts as a resource for health centre personnel and patients on medications.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (required)
- Current license to practice in the province of Ontario
- Hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of pharmacy and pharmacy related operations
- Strong organizational skills to perform required tasks in a continually changing environment efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, nurses, patients and the community
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
