Pharmacist role at Peterborough Regional Health Centre

Hiring for a full-time position. Base pay range: CA $48.21/hr - CA $64.50/hr.

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is a regional hospital delivering acute healthcare to a rapidly growing population of more than 300,000 in Peterborough and surrounding communities, including the First Nations of Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Alderville. With an annual budget of nearly $390 million, PRHC has nearly 500 inpatient beds and offers a wide range of services, including specialized programs in renal, stroke, cardiac, cancer care, vascular surgery and mental health & addictions.

Straight midnight shifts,  rotating shifts Mon-Sun as per the collective agreement. Hours are approximate and subject to change with operational needs.

The Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to inpatients and pharmacy services to selected outpatients. The Pharmacist participates in medication dispensing and acts as a resource for health centre personnel and patients on medications.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (required)
• Current license to practice in the province of Ontario
• Hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent experience (preferred)

• Demonstrated working knowledge of pharmacy and pharmacy related operations
• Strong organizational skills to perform required tasks in a continually changing environment efficiently
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, nurses, patients and the community
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
