Overview
The Peterborough & Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce seeks a dynamic Manager of Programs and Partnerships to lead our core programs, drive event revenue, and strengthen strategic alliances. This permanent, full-time role reports to the President & CEO and plays a key part in advancing member value and regional advocacy.
Role OverviewDesign and deliver high-impact programs like leadership initiatives and sector round tables while growing non-dues revenue through sponsor ships and partnerships. Oversee program strategy, external relationships with governments and institutions, and policy support via member insights and data. Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless execution and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop annual program plans, monitor trends, and set success metrics for participation and impact.
- Manage end-to-end delivery, budgets, and vendor relations, tying all efforts to member value.
- Lead revenue strategies for events, including sponsorship packages, proposals, and performance tracking.
- Build and steward partnerships, negotiate agreements and co-deliver initiatives.
- Support advocacy by gathering program data, creating briefing notes, and facilitating member round tables.
- Coordinate research, reporting, and team projects while mentoring other staff.
This role will focus on program portfolios, revenue generation, partnerships, and evidence-based advocacy support. This role focuses on strategic execution with no direct responsibility to overall strategy, finance, HR, or day-to-day event logistics.
Qualifications- 5+ years in program management, partnerships, revenue generation, or economic development, ideally in not-for-profits or associations.
- Proven track record in outcomes-driven programs, sponsorship sales, and data-informed strategy.
- Strong skills in relationship-building, negotiation, budgeting, and communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Assets:
Policy/advocacy experience, economic development knowledge.
