Salary & Hours

Salary $70,000–$75,000 annually (to be negotiated). 35 hours per week.

Employment Details

Permanent, full time employment. Finance and financial management services, other. Hybrid: work completed both in person and remotely. Work setting: various locations, head office.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control.
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies.
  • Prepare reports and audit findings.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices.
  • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure.
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation.
  • Analyze financial documents and reports.
  • Examine accounting records.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits.
  • Variance analysis.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3 to < 5 years of experience.
  • Chartered Accountants (CA) designation.
Computer and Technology Skills
  • Workday.
  • Accounting software.
  • Quick Books.
  • MS Office, Excel, Windows, PowerPoint.
