About the Position
Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Northern California

Schedule:
13-week assignment with weekend coverage required; call shifts available 1-2 days per week (weekday call: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM; weekend call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); flexibility to float between Pre-Op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas
Highlights:
Work in a dynamic PACU environment caring for patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Average daily census of 15 patients with a wide variety of surgical procedures excluding cardiac cases
Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
40-hour structured orientation to ensure successful onboarding
One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
Active and valid California RN license in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Epic charting system experience required
Strong competency in Phase I and Phase II recovery care, pre-op and post-op procedures, and conscious sedation monitoring
Experience with arterial line management, vascular access, dysrhythmia recognition, post-epidural management, and various anesthesia types (general, spinal, nerve blocks, MAC)
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last three years
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Must reside outside 50-mile local radius or accept adjusted compensation
