Description:
Seeking a registered nurse specializing in the post-anesthesia care unit.
The nurse will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
Responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals, managing pain, and ensuring safe recovery.
Strong knowledge of medication administration and post-operative care protocols is essential.
The nurse must recognize and manage dysrhythmias and administer reversal agents as necessary.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide patient education are necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable with various procedures, including but not limited to hysterectomies and total joint replacements.
The position involves a patient ratio of 1:2-3 and requires floating between sister facilities.
Weekend call may be required.
The role requires familiarity with a variety of patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
A commitment to maintaining patient safety through adherence to isolation precautions and protocols is vital.
Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is expected.
