Senior Occupational Therapist - Acute Services

Mental Health Drug & Alcohol - Bloomfield

About the role

Join our large and dynamic Occupational Therapy team as the Senior Occupational Therapist of acute mental health, drug and alcohol services. This is a temporary full-time position for 12 months.

This senior Occupational Therapist position works across the acute units at Bloomfield Hospital including the MHICU, Adult Acute, Sub-acute and Older Persons Acute inpatient units.

This position will work directly and provide leadership to Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants working on the acute units.

This Senior Occupational Therapy position has a varied caseload across the acute units and works directly with the consumer, treating team and external providers.

The Occupational Therapy department at the Bloomfield Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Service is a friendly and dynamic team which consists of 5 Senior Clinicians, 4 Junior Clinicians, Diversional Therapist, a Health Education Officer and a large number of Allied Health Assistants. We work as part of a large multidisciplinary team that is committed to providing all consumers with holistic, evidence-based care that focuses on patient safety and engagement.
