We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team! This position assists in a variety of laboratory tests on assigned projects. You would assist in fabrication and testing of prototype boilers. Conduct tests and record data in accordance with procedures outlined by advisory or regulatory agencies. This position assists with request for technical assistance from customers and salespersons concerning Bryan Steam produced products and or services.

• Must be able to travel out of state with short notice
• Set up boilers and burners according to standard test procedures of ANSI/CSA (American National Standard) I  (Institute of Boiler and Radiation Manufacturers), SBI (Steel Boiler Institute), or similar advisory or regulatory agency.
• Conduct tests and record data in accordance with procedures outlined by these agency requirements.
• Fabricate simple parts and models from drawings for prototype testing- perform basic pipe fitting, welding, assembly and adjustment of units to obtain proper operation.
• Wire electric controls for burners and boilers to ensure proper operator and safety.
• Assist in other laboratory functions as required, including maintenance and calibration of equipment and general clean-up.
• Other duties as needed

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience/training or combination.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; bend, stoop, kneel crouch, talk and hear, stand for long periods of time; walk and climb up stairs/steps. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
