IHC in Peru, IN seeks an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to lead primary care for a diverse community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to our mission, compassionate care, and leadership integrity.

Clinic Hours Of Operation:

  • Monday – 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday – 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical examinations and assessments appropriate for patient’s age, establish database and medical history.
  • Diagnose illnesses or conditions and establish acceptable plans of management under supervision of and in consultation with supervising physicians.
  • Provide counseling and patient education for preventive care, medications, and basic nutrition.
  • Attend and participate in clinic staff meetings.
  • Assist or conduct clinic‑related projects and programs with the approval of the Site Medical Director.
  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards for medical care providers.

Desired Skillset:

  • Training and experience in family practice.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of behavioral concepts, specialty treatment and community resources.
  • Maintain continuing medical education requirements for licensure.

Requirements:

  • NP certification from ANCC/AANP or PA certification from NCCPA.
  • Valid license in Indiana and current DEA licensure/prescriptive authority post‑hire.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience as NP/PA in primary care; community health center experience preferred.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Spanish speaking skills preferred but not required.
