The Supervisor Hospice Operations RN is a hands-on leader responsible for directly supervising the daily activities and performance expectations of Hospice scheduling, clinical, and non-clinical back-office support services through direct observation and auditing. With a focus on customer service excellence, effective communication, and accurate workflows to achieve timely access to care coordination, accuracy of clinical coding and hospice nursing plan of care development, and optimal administrative support across agencies.
Builds and maintains a rapport with referral sources, acts as a conduit to agency leadership, and assists with operational projects. Enables all Mission Partners to contribute to their fullest potential, creating a positive and supportive environment aligned with OSF Mission, Vision and Standards of Performance. This role facilitates efficient clinical operations, advances patient safety, enhances the patient and provider experience, and supports the organization’s operational and quality objectives.
- Supervise daily activities and performance expectations of Hospice scheduling, clinical, and back-office support services.
- Promote customer service excellence and effective communication across teams; focus on timely access to care coordination and accurate workflows.
- Assist with operational projects and serve as a conduit to agency leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in registered nursing - Experience:
One year experience as an RN in Home Care - Licensure/ Certification: IL and MI RN Licensure required within 90 days of hire
- Maintains valid driver's license
- Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
- Electronic Medical Record basic proficiency
- Provides own transportation and auto insurance and abides by all laws, rules, and recommendations for safe driving while on duty
- Experience:
Leadership experience, Coding certification or experience, Epic experience, Hospice and customer service experience - Licensure/Certification:
Hospice Coding Certification
