Position: Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Technician

Pay Rate: £13.64 per hour

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week

Are you looking for a practical, hands-on engineering role where your work keeps the community moving? Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Technician to join a friendly and supportive engineering team based in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to develop their skills further. Previous experience is beneficial, but full training and support will be provided to help you gain the qualifications you need.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out maintenance and servicing on a modern fleet of vehicles to industry safety standards
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using up-to-date diagnostic equipment
Performing preventative and reactive maintenance, including occasional roadside repairs
Reporting defects accurately and working safely in line with company policies
Working collaboratively with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members

What We're Looking For

Hands-on experience in vehicle servicing or repairs is preferred but not essential
Confidence using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
A proactive, safety-focused approach to work
Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
A full UK driving licence is essential
