A co-educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, for children aged between 12 and 18 years. Catering for just under 400 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Supper with some high end hospitality and summer lets as well. As this is a boarding school, it operates 7 days a week so working patterns would be 5 out of 7 days.
There is free parking available at the school.
You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
We are able to offer two types of contract for this position, either 52 weeks or term time.
We Are Looking For- Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential as training can be given
- Positive, can do attitude
- Organisation Skills
- Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Be able to assist the Chefs as required
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Operate industrial dishwasher
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills
- Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
