The role

The Senior Portfolio Analyst role combines responsibility for delivery of core Portfolio Office functions (including portfolio-level reporting, financial control, portfolio governance and assurance, capacity planning and resource management.)

You will
  • Reporting including weekly reports and preparation for governance meetings
  • Monitor the portfolio of projects and programmes from inception to closure, ensuring that delivery is on time, within budget, minimising potential risks and assessing to make sure it meets all strategic objectives. This includes day to day management of SharePoint and the Shared Mailboxes.
  • Operate processes to ensure effective governance of the Transformation Portfolio, including facilitation of portfolio-level governance forums, financial approval governance, and benefit realisation reporting
  • Build, facilitate and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships via engagement in governance forums and liaison with stakeholders and management on project and programme methodologies and standards.
  • Resource management through the full lifecycle including joiners, movers and leavers, contract extensions, trend analysis and reporting.
You have
  • Experience of processes including safety, resourcing, financial management, status reporting, risk management and cost management and demonstrate the ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvement.
  • Significant experience of the relevant Project/Programme/Portfolio Office experience and management or coordination of project and programme governance frameworks and standards. As well as experience managing IT resourcing working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Have a good working knowledge of key project processes, including status reporting, budgeting and estimating, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management and change management
  • Have a flexible approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines and/or changing priorities.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work on own initiative with strong written and oral communication skills
