Description
The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a part-time Mental Health Program Specialist to support the Mental Health department with the implementation of mental health prevention and intervention programs.

Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility. The Y’s Mental Health Services Department is dedicated to addressing the critical need for accessible, high-quality mental and behavioral health services, as well as social support, for individuals of all ages.
Under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health Services, the Mental Health Program Specialist will be responsible for overseeing program recruitment, conducting participant assessments and screenings, managing cases, delivering individual and group programming and curricula, and coordinating various programs and events.

Essential Duties- Hourly non-exempt: 15-25 hours per week. Typical hours vary. Some evenings and weekends will be required as needed for programming

Requirements- Previous experience working with children and families.
- Appropriate education and/or experience, may include an Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or one to three years of related experience.
- Obtain and successfully pass state and federal criminal background check via fingerprinting.
- Utilization of Electronic Health Record System and other data entry systems.
- Reliable and punctual with ability to complete independent tasks while being part of the collaborate team and effort.
- Language Skills - Spanish and English bilingual a plus. Excellent written and verbal/nonverbal abilities in languages.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Exemplary cultural competence.
- Familiar with the culture and mission of the organization.
