• Hourly Pay: $33.16 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Sign On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, or post-secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
• Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background/motor vehicle checks from previous 3 years

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or customer-specific requirements.

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and performs repairs
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Works in accordance with safety, DOT, and MOT guidelines
• Performs other support duties as required to support operations
