About the job Nurse Supervisor - Ward Manager of Blood Transfusion Centre (BTC)The Nurse Supervisor - Ward Manager of Blood Transfusion Centre (BTC) is a key member of the hospital clinical management team whose primary role is to oversee the nursing care provided in the Blood Transfusion Centre, has 24/7 responsibility for the clinical care of patients and operation of the clinics, manages Enrolled Nurses, Assistant Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers. Plans, directs and coordinates medical and health services.
Sets and carries out policies, goals, and procedures for the department and evaluates the quality of the staffs work. Develops reports and budgets for the Blood Transfusion Centre. Assures that the needs of the patients in the area are met, resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as acting Head Nurse as assigned. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility.
Education and Experience profile
:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as Registered Nurse
