General SummaryThe Shipping Associate is responsible for unloading packaged product from the production line and properly stacking them on pallets. The role involves lifting freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights, safely operating heavy equipment, and performing the necessary movements—walking, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling—to complete job duties. The associate stages, stores, and handles material in the appropriate areas and completes paperwork with attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive product and stack it correctly on pallets in a timely manner.
- Place material in proper storage locations and secure it in accordance with safe storage, stacking, or palletizing methods.
- Ensure the EVA WIP area is clean, organized, and stocked appropriately.
- Safely operate forklift and warehouse equipment at all times.
- Use computer, scanner, shipping software, and a random automatic case sealer.
- Work a flexible schedule, including up to 12 hours per day and any shift (day, evening, night, and weekend).
- Attend work location daily and promptly.
- Work in the warehouse, storing, pulling, and checking in material.
- Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or pickup by customers.
- Consolidate, organize, and manage pallet storage on site; stage and wrap supplier boxes for return to the supplier.
- Inspect stored material periodically and report any deterioration or damage.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Lift extremely heavy items (up to 80 pounds) and awkward products as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Positive can‑do attitude.
- Ability to pass a valid OSHA‑approved forklift certification (training provided). Must operate a forklift and hand jack.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Plant and occasional outdoor environments.
- Reports to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Interacts and partners regularly with other departments, vendors, and customers.
