This role directly manages the procurement of all indirect and direct raw materials required for truck-upfitting activities to support our national service centers and the Customer Service Center. You will be responsible for all purchasing related to truck-upfitting, cultivating and managing relationships with key partners, and identifying new vendors to drive operational efficiency and cost savings. This role may also include indirect procurement as necessary to support operations.
Key responsibilities- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives for all direct raw materials, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and qualify high-performing vendors and suppliers
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels
- Manage all procurement for truck-upfitting, guaranteeing the timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality standards
- Streamline and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and manage supplier relationships to build long-term, strategic partnerships
- Minimum of a 2-year degree in Sourcing/Procurement or a similar field is required
- Proficiency in SAP is essential, with demonstrated experience in the Materials Management module
- Proven track record of strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic, data-driven decisions
