Critical Care Registered Nurse - Perry, Georgia

Deliver critical care nursing in a Level 1 Trauma Designation hospital recognized as a teaching facility with specialized centers for chest pain and stroke. This contract assignment is located in Perry, GA, offering firsthand experience in diverse ICU settings including CCU, MICU, STICU, NICU, CVICU, and PCU (step-down unit). Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of ICU RN experience but first-time travelers with the right skill set are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN preferred
• Competency in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometer use
• Experience managing drips such as insulin, heparin, narcotics, paralytics, vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac drips
• Successful completion of an EKG competency exam upon onboarding

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in ICU units with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7
• Float as required across Med/Tele units within the facility
• Document care and comply with EMR (EPIC), IV pump, and monitor technology protocols

Schedule & Work Environment:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A) with weekend rotation of 5-6 weekends every 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage includes one shift per major holiday
• No call responsibilities
• Orientation includes one-day general facility introduction plus two departmental days
