Mechanical Engineering Intern

Sigma Defense is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in Mechanical Engineering practices, such as 3D modeling, simulations, rapid‑prototyping, and drafting which will directly contribute to the development of new Sigma Defense products.

The ideal candidate is someone currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in CAD design. The candidate should have a basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering principals and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering.

• Design parts and assemblies of low to mid-level complexities for current and new R&D projects.
• Assist with preparations of manufacturing drawings to ensure the document contains all pertinent information the manufacturer needs to successfully produce the part.
• Liaison with manufacturers to ensure parts are produced within budget and on time.
• Collaborate with engineering team to provide project updates, new ideas, and improving existing products.
• Assist with 3D printing parts for prototypes as well as set‑up for new machines and equipment.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
