Overview

Temporary Lead Dispatcher

Transdev in Perris, California is hiring a Temporary Lead Dispatcher. Our Temporary Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Benefits and compensation
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.00 – Maximum $26.00
  • This assignment is for 3 months, which may be extended but no longer than 6 months.
  • Sick days: 5 days

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
  • Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
  • Always supervise dispatch staff.
  • Manage department reports and other communication tools.
  • Support the Dispatch Office in training new employees.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors
