What We NeedWe are seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead and oversee the performance of a $200-300M revenue warehouse, with potential future regional sites. The role requires strategic direction, full P&L responsibility, and leadership of operations managers managing both conventional and automated facilities.
What You’ll Do- Provide strategic leadership for a key hub warehouse and potential additional regional sites, ensuring alignment with Exol’s goals.
- Assume full responsibility for the P&L of site(s) within the region.
- Drive operational excellence across all locations, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and meet productivity, quality, and sustainability goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations managers and their direct reports across multiple locations.
- Develop and implement long‑term operational strategies to improve performance, optimize resources, and drive growth.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and compliance standards across all sites.
- Oversee vendor relationships and procurement for all sites, negotiating contracts and SLAs.
- Oversee integration and optimization of automated systems and warehouse technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, financial results, and KPIs to the executive team.
- Lead sustainability initiatives across all sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field;
Master’s or MBA preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple sites or regions.
- Proven ability to lead large teams across multiple locations.
- Extensive experience in managing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and driving financial performance.
- Expertise in managing both conventional and automated warehouse operations.
- Strong project management skills; PMP or similar certifications a plus.
- Experience in overseeing warehouse automation technologies and integrating them into traditional operations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to negotiate with vendors and manage supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Passion for sustainability and environmentally conscious practices in logistics.
- Results‑oriented with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and ability to drive or fly to client locations.
- Responsible for managing expenses on a credit card, reimbursed bi‑weekly.
- Frequent walking and reaching required.
- PPE required on construction sites: hard hat, safety vest, steel‑toed boots, goggles, ear protection, fall protection.
- May work in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 105°F and under various environmental conditions.
