The Floratory is not your average flower shop — we’re a colorful, creative haven where petals meet passion. From everyday blooms to large-scale events, we create floral experiences that are vibrant, elevated, and unforgettable. With our new event space The Chapter opening soon, we’re growing — and we need a right-hand flower helper to keep the magic flowing.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Floral Design Assistant to join our studio team. This is the backbone role of the flower shop — you’ll support our designers, keep the studio running smoothly, and help us spread floral joy from bucket to bouquet to front door.

Key Responsibilities:

Flower Processing:
Receive, unpack, and prep floral shipments (hydration, stem prep, bucket setup)
Studio Support:
Keep floral stations clean and stocked, refill water jugs, and manage flower waste

Customer Service:
Answer phones, take messages/orders, greet walk-in customers warmly

Deliveries:
Assist with local flower deliveries — must have valid license and reliable transportation

Event Prep:
Help with packing event orders, loading/unloading vans, and organizing props or rentals

Design Support:
Assist designers with simple arrangements, bouquet wrapping, or floral cleanup

What We’re Looking For:

A love for flowers + the willingness to learn floral industry basics

Punctual, organized, and able to take direction with a positive attitude

Able to lift 30+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes messy environment

Friendly and professional when interacting with customers

Weekend availability is a MUST — our busiest days are Saturdays and event weekends

Bonus Points If You:  Have retail or floral shop experience

Are creative and curious — ready to learn flower names, colors, and care

Have a good eye for design or a passion for event styling
