Job DescriptionProvide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, providing a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and offering the right products, services, and care at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Provide direct patient intervention with health and wellness services and experiences consistent with state and federal laws, demonstrating core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
- Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Perform ordering and inventory management of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies according to company guidelines.
- Maintain departmental standards, keep workstations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
- Count, measure, and prepare specified product using company best practices.
- Complete billing procedures to assure best value to the customer and the company.
- Answer phone, triage calls, and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
- Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
- Operate the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions such as credit/debit cards, EBT, and gift cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
- Deliver a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Assist pharmacist in all non‑pharmacist‑judgment responsibilities.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding customer information.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a non‑confrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Support direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meet minimum state requirements to perform the position’s functions.
- Previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent experience in pharmacy clerk role.
- Familiarity with EPRN.
