We are seeking an experienced RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) for a General Surgery OR position in an acute care setting in Peoria, IL.

• Unit: OR – General (Major) Surgery
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Guaranteed: 40 hours per week
• Call required (based on physician needs; may cover evening cases)
• No weekend or holiday call
• 30-minute call response time
• Scrubs provided
• No floating required
• Unit-based orientation

• 31 OR suites across two buildings
• 15 dedicated General Surgery rooms
• 40–60 General Surgery cases per day
• Reports to Charge Nurse
• Surgical Technologists assigned to General Surgery
• EMR:
  Epic (OpTime)

• Robotic colon procedures
• Hernia repairs
• Gastric sleeves & gastric bypass
• Cholecystectomies

• Active RN license (willing to wait upon submission)
• First Assistant certification required
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of RNFA experience
• Robotic and open surgery experience required
• Experience firing staplers required
• Scrubbing and assisting surgeon required
