As a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Countryside, IL
.

Schedule
  • Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm;
    Thu 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Alternating Saturday's 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
Essential Functions
  • Interview patient to determine medical problem/condition and document in chart for physician.
  • Obtain and record patient's vital signs and weight.
  • Assist physician with patient examination as needed.
  • Review physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patient.
  • Document services performed on appropriate forms.
  • Dress wounds as instructed. Apply compresses, ice and heat packs.
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
  • Administer specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and note time and amount on patients' charts.
  • Assemble and use clinic equipment.
  • Collect samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies.
  • Clean rooms and change linens.
  • Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
  • Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to the patient's/clients problems and questions.
  • Follow up with patients who miss appointments.
  • Follow up with patients on lab results, including the scheduling of any additional tests.
  • Coordinate referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse.
