SHC is accepting applications for Assistant Director of Nursing position at the Willows.
RequirementsCandidates must have a current State of Illinois license as a Nurse (RN or LPN). Experience working in long-term care as a supervisory nurse with mental health patients is preferred, but we are more than happy to train those who are interested in serving our special populations!
Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in overseeing and managing all nursing services provided within the facility under the direction of the Executive Director.
- assist in supervising the assignment and scheduling of nursing staff as well as treatment responsibilities.
- provide high standards of nursing care in accordance with the physician's orders as floor nurse when needed.
- oversee and apply general nursing techniques and practices.
- maintain accurate records, charts, and report observations.
- supervise CNAs and auxiliary personnel and the carrying out of their duties.
- follow and give oral and written directions in exact detail and administer therapeutic prescriptions.
- work as a part of the inter-disciplinary team and cooperate with all staff.
- ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
- act as Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director.
