Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Ortho) position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and Epic EMR experience on a 13-week night shift contract.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based orthopedic Med/Surg unit (6C)
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
- Provides direct patient care to orthopedic patients through the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation
- Responsible for accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care to support the healthcare team
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- English proficiency (speak, read, write)
