Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg assignment requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Medical-Surgical unit caring for a diverse adult patient population
- Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required
- Must have experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
- No on-call or travel partner options are accepted
- Responsible for managing a group of assigned patients and providing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Participation in unit-based and institutional policies and philosophies is expected
- Documentation of all aspects of care must be accurate and up to date to facilitate team communications
- Initial patient assessments, care planning, and regular care updates are required
- May not exceed seven days of requested time off during the 13-week contract
- Travelers may not be on assignment at this facility for more than one year without a 6-month break
- Scrub or dress code was not specified
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
- Minimum of one year of relevant Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required, BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Epic charting and Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
