Overview

Core Dermatology is seeking a Procedural/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our patient-first focused team. This is a full-time position that will be on-site.

• Procedural care responsibilities will include:
  Preparing patients for surgery under local anesthetic and ensuring their comfort and well-being;
  Assisting surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies;
  Monitoring patient’s vital signs and respond to any changes;
  Administering medications as directed by physicians;
  Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety;
  Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and procedures;
  Participating in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in surgical nursing.
• Recovery Room responsibilities will include:
  Performing pre-admission assessment;
  Obtaining pre-operative clearance as indicated;
  Preparing patients for surgery upon arrival to PASC;
  Assessing patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health care organization policies and procedures;
  Developing an individualized peri-anesthesia plan of care;
  Preparing for and managing patient recovery from general and monitored anesthesia care;
  Communicating the patient’s current status throughout the peri-anesthesia continuum of care;
  Providing acute pain and comfort management as needed;
  Administering medications safely and correctly;
  Documenting nursing care completely and accurately;
  Collaborating effectively with other disciplines as needed.

• 40 hours per week; 10-hour shifts
• 6:30am - 5:00pm

• Valid RN license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procedural or surgical nursing preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.

Salary Information:
This is a Non-Exempt position. Pay will be based on years of experience and licensure date. The budgeted hourly pay range is $.
