• Unit: Neuro Medical Surgical Acute Unit (54 beds)
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: EPIC EMR

• Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process)
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent neuro nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
• Proficient in heparin titration based on PTT

• Provide high-quality patient care to individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, and head injury
• Titrate IV drips (including heparin) and monitor patient responses in a clinical setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses and 24/7 house supervisors
• Float within the neuro med-surg unit and to other units as needed, based on competency
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Adhere to hospital dress code (no specific scrub color; tattoos covered; only ear piercings permitted)
• Complete a comprehensive orientation (2 days with educator and preceptor)
