Overview
Illinois Cancer Care is seeking an Oncology Nurse Manager to join our team. This role works in collaboration with, and under the direction of, the Senior Director of Nursing & Clinical Services to provide nursing leadership and support across practice locations. Responsibilities include consulting with clinicians on best practices, implementing education and training programs, and leading interdisciplinary projects. The position provides oversight of nursing leadership and staff while ensuring adherence to The US Oncology Network Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

- Hiring Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 (Based on experience, education, and other factors)

- Collaborates with practice management to provide support on operational projects
- Facilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices
- Facilitate implementation and utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices.
- Ensure practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of care.
- Ensure the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.
- Staff Development
- Assess staffing levels and issues, patient flow, current practices in the clinical setting.
- Assists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs
- Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics or region.
- Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.
- Provide oversight for supervisors as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience
- Minimum three years of leadership experience
- Oncology certification preferred
- Exceptions made based on past experience, background and current level of expertise.
- Traditional office environment with frequent computer-based work.
- Requires full range of body motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- May require standing and walking for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range required.
