Overview

Registered Nurse RN 5/6 Weekend Cardio Thoracic Unit role at OSF Health Care. This is an hourly position with a 20% premium on the hourly base pay for all hours worked during the defined weekend. Pay range is $32.61-$49.28/hr actual pay is based on years of licensure. Sign-On Bonus Eligible! $15,000 with a 1 year work commitment (new graduates & external candidates).

Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with Providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. Will be scheduled and required to work 5 out of every 6 weekends.

• Provide high-level nursing care in a Cardio Thoracic Unit setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
• Assess patient health status, coordinate care across the continuum, and support patients and families.

• Required Qualifications:
  
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan).
  
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

  Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge:
  Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
