Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 trauma center in Illinois requiring EPIC charting and rotating call.

• Position based in an acute care hospital operating room
• Level 1 trauma surgical environment with high-acuity cases
• Four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 07:00 to 17:30
• Rotating call required in addition to scheduled hours
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Responsible for providing perioperative nursing care for a designated patient group
• Must accurately document patient care and interventions in the EMR
• Responsible for implementing and evaluating individualized care plans
• Limited to 7 days requested time off per 13 week contract
• No travel partners accepted for this position
• Assignment cannot exceed 1 year; must break service for 6 months before return eligibility
• Advance notice of 30 days required for assignment cancellation

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary RN license in good standing required
• Minimum of one year recent operating room RN experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience must be documented
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
